Accommodations

The Marriott Brooklyn Bridge hotel is situated just across the river from Manhattan in one of New York City's classic neighborhoods, Brooklyn Heights. Conference registrants will receive a special discounted rate of $249/night during their stay. The Marriott's luxurious hotel rooms and conference facilities will be our base for Do It With Drupal. Brooklyn Heights is a safe, walkable neighborhood. We will be staying near the the iconic Promenade, a .3-mile river walk offering views of the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline and the majestic Brooklyn Bridge. Lined with flower beds and trees,the Promenade is recognizable from several movies (see Hall, Annie). Brooklyn Heights also boasts New York's largest concentration of pre-Civil War houses, and post-hipster coffee houses. Downtown Manhattan is easily accessible by multiple subway lines specifically the A, C, F, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Where to Land

LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in Queens (on the Grand Central Parkway), mainly handles domestic flights. If you're flying in from anywhere in the U.S., chances are you'll come through here. Particular exceptions include Continental Airlines. Newark and JfK are also viable options.

Getting There...

A Taxi ride from LaGuardia along the Brookly Queens Expressway or BQE will take 15-45 min depending on traffic. Tell the driver you're headed to the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge on 333 Adams St in Brooklyn.

More adventurous travelers interested in a detour through Manhattan can take public transportation. You want the WEST SIDE BWAY - 106 ST via 125 ST bound M60 Bus, which leaves from LaGuardia's Central Terminal. Get off at EAST 125TH ST & LEXINGTON AVE. This is a safe neighborhood during the day, but it's also Harlem. (If you plan on arriving late at night, we recommend a cab.) From the 125TH ST STATION Subway station take the downtown 5 subway to the BOROUGH HALL STATION. From there, the hotel is about .2 miles to the East.
